John Keintz grew up in Eastern South Dakota.  In 1973, he and his wife, Judy, moved west to Helena, Montana.  John entered the fencing business in 1980 as a contract installer of chain link fence.  In 1989, the Keintz family opened FenceCrafters in Helena.  The company grew steadily into a full-service fencing operation, doing business throughout the state of Montana as well as neighboring states.

In 2003, they expanded by establishing an office in Missoula, MT to better serve the western part of the state.  John is currently the owner and Missoula Branch Manager, with his wife, Judy, working as Business Manager.  Their son, Johnny, is the Helena Branch Manager, and son, Karl, is the Field Operations Manager for the Missoula office.  The Keintz family business has grown to employing a workforce of 15 to 20 employees.  Based in both Helena and Missoula, they offer a complete line of residential and commercial fencing options in the entire state of Montana, plus the Dakotas, Wyoming, Idaho and Washington.
